Sherif qualified as a dentist in 2005 from Cairo, Egypt. In 2007, he became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Sherif was awarded an international research scholar position at the University of Texas, Houston, USA. Sherif co-authored a textbook about the use of Cone Beam CT technology in the head and neck. He also has several publications in peer reviewed journals. Sherif has a special interest in Oral surgery and he gained extensive experience in all aspects of oral surgery working in different hospitals across the country and currently holds a part-time position as a specialty doctor in oral and maxillofacial at Coventry university hospitals where he mentors and teaches junior dentists. He also works at multiple dental practices where he routinely receives oral surgery and implant referrals. He accepts referrals for:
- Simple and complex extractions
- Wisdom teeth removal & coronectomy
- Impacted canines and supernumerary teeth
- Oral Biopsies
- Cysts and lesions in the mouth
- Frenectomy
- Apicectomy
- Orthodontic expose and bonding of teeth
Sherif gained his clinical Masters degree in dental implants (with distinction) from the University of Manchester. He is also an active member of the the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is very good at comforting anxious patients and providing them with a pleasant dental experience.
Outside work, Sherif enjoys spending time with his family, swimming and playing squash. He also enjoys travelling and exploring new places and learning about other cultures.
