Dental referrals are the perfect way to make sure your patients get the treatment they need. As a dentist in London, you’ll want to make sure you’re offering your patients the highest possible standard of care. Here’s how referrals can help.

Why might I need to refer a patient to Ten Dental?

Remember: dental referrals in no way underestimate your competency as a dentist. Some treatments are better placed with specialists like orthodontists, endodontists, prosthodontists or periodontists.

Why might my patient need to go elsewhere for treatment?

Referring a patient to Ten Dental doesn’t mean they are out of your hands forever! They temporarily come to us for the planned treatment. After this, your patient goes right back to you for their routine dentistry.

Which treatments can I use dental referrals for?

Our team is full of specialist dentists in a range of different areas. They have undertaken years of extra training. As such, we’re extremely qualified to handle several different treatments – no matter how severe the problem:

  • Dr Annika Patel, Specialist Orthodontist – Annika embarked on specialist training in orthodontics at Guy’s Hospital and the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. She has treated many adult patients requiring the diagnosis and treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.
  • Dr Parmjit Singh, Consultant and Specialist Orthodontist – Parmjit is currently trained up to consultant level, which happens to be the highest level for a UK orthodontist, and has worked at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as a locum consultant.
  • Dr Dipen Patel, Specialist Orthodontist – Dipen gained his Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons.
  • Dr Federico Tinti, Specialist Periodontist – after qualifying as a dentist in Italy in 1998, Federico went on to achieve post-graduate qualifications in periodontology both in New York and London (Guy’s, Kings, and St Thomas’).
  • Dr Lanre Onabolu, Specialist Periodontist – Lanre completed his specialist training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London.
  • Dr Martin Wanendeya, Implantologist – Martin was accepted onto the Implant Dentistry Diploma course at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons and was one of a select few from his cohort to be awarded this at the Advanced level.
  • Dr Nikhil Sisodia, Implantologist – Nikhil is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a Member of the International Team for Implantology and a Member of the Association of Dental Implantology.
  • Dr Apostolos Bozis, Endodontist – Apostolos completed a Masters of Science in 2003 in Endodontics at the prestigious Guy’s Hospital of London.

What is the referral process?

The dental referral process contains four simple steps, which are:

  1. Send us an online dental referral and receive a confirmation email to guarantee everything has gone through
  2. We will get in touch with your patient to set up an appointment for their treatment
  3. Your patient will come and see us at one of our practices in Clapham, Balham or Wandsworth
  4. We will report back to you about your patient’s care and send them back to your practice

Our promise to you

We pride ourselves on working closely with referring dentists throughout the entire process. We’ll keep you in the loop throughout your patient’s treatment. Plus we will hand them back to you with all the information you need to pick their care back up.
