All-on-4 dental implants are fast and effective implant-retained teeth that can very quickly restore a full, natural-looking smile. They are also known as Same Day Smiles and Teeth in a Day – both of which tell you everything you need to know about how fast the procedure can be.

These implants are typically used to fill in a severely damaged row of teeth in the upper or lower jaw, or both. The results can look very natural, and if you’re keen to avoid false teeth that look noticeably false, or you don’t want to wear removable dentures, here are some of the benefits to All-on-4 dental implants.

Secure foundations

The unique way All-on-4 implants are anchored into place is one of the big benefits of this system. At Ten Dental + Facial, we use the smartfix systyem, by Dentsply Sirona, whereby between two and six posts are inserted into empty tooth root pockets – usually only four are required, hence the name ‘All-on-4’.

Front implants are placed at 15 degrees, while the rear implants are at a 45-degree angle for a successful stabilising effect.

Fast false teeth

Premade artificial teeth are anchored to the abutment posts, usually on the same day that the anchors are implanted. You get new teeth in a day, and we are happy to share some examples of past same-day smiles we have worked on, if you would like to see the results.

Importantly, the results are permanent. No dentures to take out every night, just a round-the-clock replacement for your original natural smile.

Performance materials

All-on-4 dental implants use titanium abutment posts, which project around 3mm from the root socket into which they are anchored. They are sturdy and safe, providing a solid anchor point even in patients with jawbone degradation, gum disease, or other serious oral health conditions.

Of course, if you have a chronic condition, you should get this treated.  We can help you decide whether you need to see a dental health professional before getting your new teeth.

For all ages

You’re never too old to get All-on-4 dental implants. We have worked on patients who thought their teeth were too severely damaged to support implant-retained dentures. A straight, white (but still natural-looking) smile can give you a new lease of life at any age.
